Help! My Permafang Broke
Common permafang breakage occurs within the first week to the first month. During the first week, it indicates that there may have been an anatomical issue in the bite that affected the structure of the fang. This could be related to the shape or alignment of your teeth that might not have been fully accounted for during the application.In the following weeks, breakage is most often associated with TMJ and tooth grinding. This can be prevented by regularly using a nocturnal mouth guard. Failing to use a mouthguard while sleeping or regularly grinding your teeth can put pressure on the structure of the fang, which can lead to chips or breakage. Two common scenarios is waking up with a fang broken off, or after sleeping, finding that it has come loose and loosing it during a regular daytime activity.In my experience after finding the source of the issue and replacing the fang during this time, rarely are additional replacements needed.
Your natural tooth is not broken
The remaining composite looks very shocking when it breaks off because it is tooth colored. but your tooth is not broken.
What do I do next?
1.Send a picture of the tooth(your natural one) to [email protected]
2.Please answer the following in your email;
3.Did it pop off completely, or snap at the base?
4.What activity were you doing when your fang broke?
5.Have you been using your mouthguard regularly?
In my reply I will let you know what replacement policy will apply depending on the time range
Your options if local;
-Replacement policy applies (up to x3 replacements)
-I remove the remaining composite as well as the other fang, whatever policy applies
-You contact your personal dentist for a replacement, or a removal of the composite.
Your options if non-local (installation on tour);
-Getting a replacement on a tour nearby
-Traveling to my location to get a replacement
-Going to your local dentist for a replacement/removal
Please note that I can only offer replacements up to 3xafter the initial installment per tooth. This helps us avoid potential damage to the enamel and ensures that we’re protecting the integrity of your teeth.
There are no refunds if the decision to remove the fangs are applied, There are no refunds if your 3 replacements have been met. I am not in charge of additional fees from your dentist.
What do I do in the meantime?
-Buy dental wax if the composite is irritating your mouth
-Continue to wear the mouthguard to protect your other fang
-Continue regular dental care and fang precautions
-Do not try to pick the composite off yourself
